“ The super corner store... Not quite the bougiest shop but this shop has a long superette history as I used to work in the Discovery Bay right across the street. Love to see that it's still here after the long covid craziness but being surrounded by not just hotels but condos as well many did flock over here as the nearest supermarket was Ala Moana Center and knew the owners of this shop before ABC bought it and took over. Not more for the visitors rather than the superette it was known for you're still able to find many shelf stable grocery items and some grab and go hot and cold items but remains more the typical ABC Store. The vibe here is more like souvenir shopping zone but still see many folks come here for various items as there's zero parking and is all foot traffic there is always something that you need and probably will find it here. Thank you! ”

“ Oh! Turns out I love this place but was confused it was the place around the corner by the Hilton. Oops! The staff was nice and the security guard was very handsome. Basically the same as my review but no cafe or deli. Good fresh to go bento style food. And the booze selection was on point! We love ABC stores. And our friends on the "Mainland" love the gifts we purchased for them here, ”

We have since left Honolulu, as our vacation has ended, but we feel that it would be right to remove the negative review now. Our few other experiences at the store had been wonderful. ORIGINAL POST: My partner and I were crossing the street to get to the abc store before closing. As we were crossing the street one of the employees had begun closing the doors. We walked up as quickly as we could but by that point the doors had closed. I asked the employee through the crack in the door if I could run in quickly to get some Tums for my girlfriends upset stomach. He said they do have Tums but we can not come in. I explained that we were crossing the street when the doors closed and that we only need the Tums because there is nothing else around that is open. To note there were still people completing purchases inside. Regardless, he said no. Not a personable employee. I get everyone wants to go home but it would be nice if some people had a little more compassion. I've shopped here once before and everything was fine. ”

“ This was the closest ABC store to the condo we stayed at on our vacation, hence the multiple visits here. Store is clean and employees are very helpful. They had everything you can think of which you may have forgotten to bring with you on your vacation. Plus, food, snacks and drinks. Of course, several souvenirs that you can buy for yourself or family. We couldn't get tickets for Hanauwa Bay, so we bought some snorkel gear and went snorkeling at Sharks Cove. We were so happy to find our sizes to buy and enjoyed our day snorkeling. What I did like was seeing a security guard at the store, which gave me a sense of protection while I shopped. The security guard was just as friendly as the employees. Everyone is greeted here! Hands down, one of the nicest ABC's stores in Waikiki! Thank you! ”

“ I felt so comfortable in this ABC Superette location because they had the best security on site, just in case. The security was refined, polite, and made me feel as though nothing was going to happen to me nor by anyone on the adjoining street corner. This ABC has (2) two registers all the time so there is never a wait. They have everything locals and tourists may want. ”

“ ABCs are the corner markets here everywhere. They are the staple like our drugstores in Cali but smaller by far. They have beach towels and any beach stuff you need, macadamia nuts, kona coffee, bentos, sandos, drinks etc. Prices are fairly high, esp on soda compared to CA. $3.99 a 2 liter or 6 pack soda $6.49 ( 7/22). But they are super convienient to get quick eats/drinks, needs or beach gear. They open until 11pm which is really helpful too. ”

“ Who doesn't live ABC? The conveniency baby. And this store is one of the specific location that we love to go and check something new. This location has been for years and years. So convenient that if you want something to grab from snackin' to souvenirs or anything you need asap ABC is the key. They got the friendliest and efficient staffs here. “ Just like a mushroom ABC stores are everywhere in the island. Sometimes they were almost neighbors that it will make you think twice on where ABC store will you visit. I think you need to visit them all. Hahahah (insert funny silly face) ~ Located near Ala Moana Boulevard across MCdonald, this ABC Superette is pretty big and offers a more variety of options base on what you need. This is the most convenience amongst all. Just like most of the consumers, I also love this store coz they almost have all the stuffs that you need esp. from personal hygiene up to hot meals & to souvenirs. Convenient esp. amongst travelers/juanderers. ~ Open until midnight this store offers you great helpful stuffs. Customer service is fair. Others are simply snobbish while others are super nice. I must understand, coz this store also has a lot of people coming in-and-out in here and dealing with different kind of mankind is not an easy job. Of course this is a convenient store so don't expect to be cheap. Tbh their price is pretty high yet in this way, it will offer you retails instead of having bulks.
